Planning your Gardening for the Next Year
Whether you love growing flowers in your garden, vegetables in your greenhouse or crops in your allotment, it’s imperative that you plan ahead. You will need to know what you want to do with the space you have and what you would like to grow. If you’re busy planning your 2017 garden, here are some of the things that you should think about:
- Draw diagrams. This is the perfect way to work out how much space you have and what you’re going to do with it. You will be able to plan your space carefully, make the most of the room you have available and see a visual representation of how it will all work.
- Make a list. This will help you to work out the top crops that you would like to grow and eliminate the ones that won’t fit into your plan. Work through the ones that could grow easily in the space you
have and put them to the top of your list.
- Get a season calendar. You can use this to see how your year might pan out, showing you the crops and bulbs you can grow at different times throughout the year. It’s important that you choose the right times of year to plant, so this is the perfect tool to help you with your planning.
- Get everything you need ahead of time. Organisation is key to a well-functioning garden/ allotment. Make sure all your supplies are ready for you to use and that you have everything stored away ready for when you need it. This will ensure that you are ready to garden whenever you want.
Follow these tips, and we will help you to create the beautiful garden you want for 2017.
